Brandon and Nathan's 6 fish limit weighing 20.56 lbs and anchored by the #2 tournament lunker, a 4.80 pounder, earned them $1540 for the day. The team of Lynn Fox of Burlington, NC and Ken Strickland of Greensboro, NC were tourney runner-ups with a 6 fish limit weighing 19.40 lbs netting them $820 for the day's event. Lynn and Ken was the top finishing Ranger boat and will receive the Ranger Cup bonus.

The team of Steven Bailey of Chase City, VA and Stanley Brown of Clarksville, VA rounded out the top three with a 6 fish limit weighing 18.24 lbs and winnings of $310.

W. F. Cox and Mike Tompkins from Leasburg, NC were tourney runner-ups with a 6 fish limit weighing 19.46 lbs, earning them $446 for the event. Dom Barretta of Clarksville, VA and Keith Redd of Virgilina, VA rounded out the top three with a 6 fish limit, tipping the scales at 18.50 lbs for $182. Finishing fourth was the team of Fred Hill of Roxboro, NC and Mark Inman of Greensboro, NC with a 6 fish limit weighing 18.00 lbs for $102.

The team of Jeff Brann of Leasburg, NC and Howard Bohannan, Jr of Durham, NC, caught the tournament lunker. The 6.54 pounder netted Jeff and Howard $250 for the catch.

The team of Jay Rigney and Kennny Beale of Danville, VA took top honors in the Lake Mayo, April Open Tournament with a 6 fish limit weighing 23.36 lbs. Jay and Kenny's creel was anchored with the tournament lunker of 6.32 lbs. Their catch earned them $1110 for the day's effort.
