 I had fished all weekend off of our dock. Fished in the evening and fished in the early morning. I caught a few small bass. When I was packing up, I figured have my 6 year old son cast a plastic worm on his Incredible Hulk pole. Figures he would catch the best fish of the weekend ! And it was around noon! I might have to use the incredible hulk pole more often. |

 My son and a friend came in town to striper fish on Wednesday. We slow trolled jumbo minnows from Bobcats in Grassy Creek. Most fish were suspended at 20' water depth avg 25-45'. Fished up 5 dozen baits and had multiple fish on thru the day. Caught some on red heads when the bite got aggressive. Great day on the water. FB |

 This 21 ½ inch large mouth was caught near Satterwhite Point on 12-15-2011 by Jimmy Dixon using a crank bate in 10 foot of water. Did not have my scales, I guess he was 6 ½ pounds or better. |

 My name is Eddie Boothe I caught this blue cat fish on 9/29/11. While fishing with Mark Dalton in Buggs Island. Caught it while using chicken breast as bait. It took the bait around 9:30am. It took about 30 minutes to reel it in. My friend and I had a really hard time getting it in the boat. The blue catfish weighed 99 pounds, and it was 55.5 inches long. I've been fishing there for around 15 years, and it was the biggest blue cat I've ever caught down there. It was realeased to fight another day. (P.S. It was weighed at Buggs Island Bait & Tackle co.  Randy Hamn of the Charlottesville area had a great day on the Fishbud boat on 5/23/2011. We fished brush in 20' water using jigs and minnows and had 40 plus keepers that averaged 12". Mr Hamn landed his personal best, this 16.5 inch white crappie. Congrats Randy on a fine catch and also releasing the big girl. Very good day at Buggs! |

 This is my dog Jetson with a 28 pound blue cat you can see in the water behind him. Jet's big fish so far is 32 pounds. When we go noodle fishing he watches & starts to whine when he sees a noodle start to dance. He will swim by any noodles laying flat & go to the one dancing because he knows that's the one with the fish. I put a ladder on the back of my boat & Jet will climb up & hand you the noodle. Jet is one Cool Catfishing Dog. |
