Here is Adam Beaty with a beatiful Kerr lake striper caught on christmas day while fishing with the Teacher, it was one of many caught on live shad, "Thanks Santa".

On 30 December 2007, in the cold rain, TALL BLONDE had strippers onboard. The largest caught by Carolyn was 31 inches 10.5 pounds. It was caught on a crank bait while trolling between the Clarksville bridges.

I think this is a bowfin. Anyone out there confirm it?

29 November 2007, TALL BLONDE had lots of strippers in the boat. Carolyn brought home her limit: 8 pounds, 27 inches; 11 pounds, 30 inches. They were caught by the Clarksville bridges.

This crappie was caught by Buddy Warren , Nov. 28 , 2007, while fishing with his wife, Becky . 2 lb. 1 oz. , 15” long. Caught on brush in 7’ of water, out of Longwood.

This 25" striper was caught on Kerr Lake October 2, 2007 by Trollingva. It was caught below the clarksville bridges.

On 7 November 2007 it was a cold day on the lake, but TALL BLONDE had fish on board. Carolyn is holding up a three pound largemouth bass and an eight pound stripper caught near buoy 16.

Crappie Crossing with a citation 24 3/4" walleye that weighed 5 lb caught at Lake Gaston on 10-07-07 using a spinner harness with a nightcrawler. Caught fish near mm 21 on a hump in 20' of water in the afternoon.

These catfish were caught on October 6th and 7th, 2007 by Jack and Jason Matteo and Kyle Quigley. They were all caught right off the dock in the Ponderosa using stink bait. There were a total of four fish caught all weighing between 4-5lbs each.

This 27" striper was caught on Kerr Lake October 2, 2007 by trollingva. It was caught below the clarksville bridges.

This channel cat was caught on Kerr Lake Saturday September 22. We were fishing large live shiners near the Boy Scout Camp in Ivy Hill. It was 33" long and weighed about 14 pounds.

On 7 October 2007, fishing boat TALL BLONDE had guests aboard. This nice four pound bass was caught by Paul Sansone from Virginia Beach. It was caught on a Bill Norman crank bait at the mouth of Grassy Creek.

So that is why it is called Grassy Creek.

Big strippers are back at Clarksville. This 27 inch 8 pound stripper is being held by Peter Melanson of Berryville, Virginia. It was caught aboard TALL BLONDE on 21 October 2007.

On 30 October 2007 fishing boat TALL BLONDE found the strippers. This one being held by Carolyn was caught by her at buoy 15.

Large Mouth Bass - 3.5 lbs -- 25 inches long -- Caught on minnows while bottom fishing off of Henderson Point launch ramp near UNC sites on 9-2-07.

Look at this nice crappie caught by Marshall Hancock on Sept. 3, 2007 while fishing the bridges at Bugg's Island Fishing at ( 9 ft ) this catch of the day weighed in at 1.83 lbs and measured 16 inches in length making it a citation! Fish on with Hucklebuck's Get The Net Charters!

Here is a nice 24 pound Blue cat, caught with cut bait, few miles from hibernia boat ramp, didn't measure length, caught at 10ish, one of many blues.

Here is a 20lb blue caught by Adam Beaty. He caught him arount bouy 5 on August 18 on Kerr Lake.

Cody and Josh Carter caught these two cats while trolling for catfish in the Island Creek area on Sunday while fishing with their dad (dcarter) and a family friend (danriveryacht2). The largest one was 12 pounds and 14 ounces, and he beat his little brother by a couple of pounds.

Noah Warden (age 5) caught these blue cats fishing with his dad, Scott and his brother Evan. They caught them on 8/8 under the old Clarkesville bridge, and fishing with "stinky" bait, as he calls it.

My father-in-law, Buzz Fasnacht was fishing on the main lake channel about 3 miles from the Clarksville bridge when he landed this 30 inch, 12 lb striped bass. He was visiting for the week from Indiana to celebrate my son's 17th birthday. They are pictured together in the photo. The bass was the feature of our luncheon menu for Trey's birthday hours after the catch. Talk about a "last-minute" gift! He caught the fish on 15 July at 9 AM.

15lbs....28 inches.....caught at Eastland Creek on Kerr Lake...July 3rd,2007...he was a fighter, but that was some GOOD EATIN'!!

Fishing Boat TALL BLONDE had Stripers aboard today, 6 July 2007. The largest was 10 pounds four ounces and 28 inches long. It was caught by Carolyn Ferguson on the main lake with a pretty blue Bill Norman crank bait.

Ron Dills took his nephew Cery Pittman and his friend Cody Moore on their first camping & Fishing trip to Buggs Island. They caught these nice blue cats out of Grassy creek on 4th of July 2007

Chris Cross and his grandson Aaron(7years old) caught thirteen bass on June 22 from 4 Pm until 8pm. Seven bass were released. 12 bass came from main lake points near Little Stonehouse creek. 1 on jerkbait and 12 on Gulp worms in 8 to 12 feet of water. It was Aaron's first bass on worms but has caught many on cranks. Sorry Aaron missed the pic but will get him next time.

Fishing was good this morning, 26 June 2007, aboard TALL BLONDE. Blue Cats and White Bass were biting.

My girlfriend caught this flathead last Saturday night 6/23 using a Bluegill for bait. This fish was caught near Clarkesville and it weighed 19 pounds. I think i enjoyed watching her reel him in as much she did.

A 28” and 24” striper caught 7/01 near the channel off the rip rap at the east end of the lake. Both caught on striper minnows (4” to 5”) about 25’ to 30’ deep on the drift.

Only ones we got today, but I’m hoping it is the start of good fishing this summer. My thanks to White Top for the heads up this morning.

Caught this Spotted Garr on 6/16/07 around 9 am. I was fishing off a point just down from Dog Leg before you get to the overhead lines. Not what I was thinking I had on my line! Weight in at 11 lbs and was 39.5" long. First Garr for me.

Caught by Stu Gillow at Midnight 6/13/07 off friend Rafferty’s dock/Catfish Cruiser in Bluestone. Was catching lots of crappie on three ultralight rods rigged with 2-4lb test line and crappie minnows when this 31 ˝ “ - 14 ˝ lb Flathead hit live white bass rigged on one of the two Wonderods kept baited at all times for the big boys. Weighed in at Buggs Island Bait and Tackle. (1/2 hr to land fish included run up the hill to get net, Rafferty, and camera - - another ˝ hour to untangle and re-rig other 4 rods)

Crappie Crossing with 2 citation walleye caught at Lake Gaston on Wed. 6-13-07 on nightcrawlers in 17-20' of water on the main lake. The 2 citations were weighed in by the good folks at Buggs Island Bait & Tackle, weights were 7.95 lb & 6.74 lb & both fish were 26 3/4" long.

Crappie Crossing with a limit of Lake Gaston walleye caught on Thur. 06-14-07 in 15-18' of water on the main channel. The 3 largest fish were weighed by Buggs Island Bait & Tackle with 2 being citations. Weights were 4.80 lb, 5.33 lb & 5.53 lb. The 2 citations were 25 1/2"

Fishing onboard fishing boat TALL Blonde was excellent today, 7 June 2007. Several large mouth and blue cats were caught, one small stripper and this drum. Sorry for the poor picture, but we didn't know what it was until we looked it up in the field guide. It was caught by Carolyn Ferguson just East of the new Clarksville bridge on a crank bait while trolling.

This is for the boys that had doubts! My catch of a lifetime, released within 20 minutes of catch to be caught again. Caught in Nutbush by Kenny Groves, weighing at least 40 lbs.

Crappie Crossing with 4 walleye caught at Lake Gaston on 6-10-2007. Fish were from 20"-23" long & the largest weighed 4 lb 12 oz. Bait was night crawlers on a spinner rig fished in 17-18' of water west of Holly Grove crk & east of the I 85 bridge on the main channel.

These are some nice crappie caught by Don Bragg in Butchers Creek on May 17, 2007. The larger one measured 13 1/2" and all were caught jigs at 12'-17' depth.

This is a citation crappie caught by Sharon Bragg on May 21, 2007. It was caught in Butchers Creek at dawn and was the first fish of the day. It was caught with a minnow and slip float in 14' of water. It is her first citation and was certified by Bobcat's Bait and Tackle. WAY TO GO MOM!!

I caught this one on an ultralight combo with 6 lb. test line. "V" style spinner in front of Kalin's grub. After a 15 minute fight it came in. What fun.

Cullen Dougherty, 8, of Brosville, VA, caught this 28 1/2'', 12 lb. striper upstream of the Old Clarksville Bridge on Sunday afternoon (April 29, 2007). He was trolling with his dad, and caught it in 18 feet of water.

Hess Royster of Oxford along with his friend Mario Chavis caught this 17-3/4" crappie that weighed just under 2 lbs. in Grassy Greek on a minoow today 4/29/07 at 6:45 a.m.

Virginia Wells displays a 32'' female striper caught 4-3-07 in the mid-lake area of Kerr Lake. This fish was released to fight another day.

The attached photo shows a catfish that was caught today (4/12/07) by my granddaughter, Genny Boyle (11 years old) at Little Nutbush Creek area. It weighed 4-1/4 lbs and was 21" long. It is now back in the lake for someone else to catch.

Kirk Groves. 8+ pounds. Caught on a spinnerbait tight against a stump in 3' of water. April 6th just before the temp. bombed.

11 crappie caught by mick, tyler,ryan,&amber on 3/15/ in little buffalo. 41 were over 1lb.

Its not as big as our 41 lber earlier, but its always nice just to be out on the water. Caught at 11:30am on crappie fillet. Weather was nicer too, much rather be in shorts and a thin shirt than in insulated coveralls made fer huntin not fishin. Good luck to all and watch out for all that trash in the river.

Randy Marshall (ru) with a 37 pound flat head caught Monday, April 2 while Crappie fishing. Caught using 8 pound test on a 10 foot crappie rod after a 30 minute fight. CPR'd.

These crappie were caught by Frank and Paul Farmer in Buffalo creek west of the 58 bridge at 6 feet in 8 feet of water on minnows. 3/3/07

The first stripper of the year aboard Fishing Boat TALL BLONDE was caught by Carolyn Ferguson on 20 March 2007. It was 28 inches 9 pounds 6 ounces.

29” Striper and 24” Blue Cat caught today, 3/11/07. Both fish caught on the same pass trolling in about 40’ of water outside the striped marker on the peninsula (Keats?) just north of “A” Bouy. Time was approx 10:15 am.

Water temp at the time was 47.3 F, speed was about 2.6 mph, and the lure of the day was once again a Rapala DT16 in Shad color. The striper hit first, I think the cat just grabbed one of the lures when I stopped to fight the striper.

Roy Taylor with a 2 lb 2.5 oz. crappie caught in Eastland Creek on 3-10-07. Crappie was 151/4" long. Was caught in 3' of water on a jig tipped with a minnow.

Patrick Bailey caught these crappie and cat fish on the morning of 3/10/07. The one on the far left weighed just over 1 1/2 lbs.

This gar was taken by Frank Farmer trolling at the railroad bridge with SR5 bleeding shad rapala on 3-14-07.

Frank Farmer caught this 4lb. LMB north of the east side of the railroad bridge in 23 feet of water on a black jig.

Pete Hilburger caught this 33" striper on Jan. 7 in a small feeder creek next to Grassy Creek. He was caught pulling live shad on a bobber rig in only 8' of water.

This is my wife's first striper, caught 1-13-07 in Kerr Lake near Satterwhite. She was using a soft plastic bait and the fish was landed around noon. The fish was 32" long and I estimate around 13lbs. The fish was released.

Kirby Sewell caught these in Nutbush Creek on Sunday January 21 in the sleet and freezing rain. Caught four, kept these two and left them biting.

Catfish I caught today 1/27/07 fishing in a creek across from diamond shoals. I was trolling with live shad. After taking a picture and weighing the fish, it was released. It weighed 16 lbs.

41 lb blue caught on fresh 2x2 cut shad, man what a fish!!!!!!!

This is a 30" striper I caught today 1/4/07. I caught and released four more that were all 26 inches. This fish is currently in the oven.

Caught on live bait at Kerr Lake 1/6/2007 by Fred Williams, 30 Inches, 15 pounds

31 inch Striper caught near Marker 2 at the edge of the channel on a Rapala DT16 crank bait in Shad Color at approx. 11:30 am Sunday Jan 7th. Trolled about 100 feet behind the boat. I did not weigh the fish but it was fairly heavy. No eggs.
